The AD7825BRZ is an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) that facilitates the analog-digital conversion of signals or analog data into digital signals. For example, a sound or image signal can be converted from analog to digital for use in digital computing and communications applications. It is included within the larger family of Analog to Digital Converters, which utilizes a process called sampling to accurately convert an analog input signal into its digital equivalent. Part of the analog-to-digital conversion process involves quantizing the analog input signal by slicing it into pieces known as samples. The AD7825BRZ uses the sample-and-hold technique to sample an analog signal for a specified period of time before the conversion process begins. As a result, the information content of the analog signal is preserved and the signal is able to be reconstructed by Digital Filter Design principles later in the signal processing chain. When the analog signal is sampled, it is first converted into a digital signal and then passed through a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) to convert the signal back to an analog form.The AD7825BRZ is a high performance application field and working principle. It offers a stand-alone, temperature-compensated, 16-bit resolution Instrumentation bridge that provides bidirectional interfacing between a single-ended analog signal and a wide range of popular digital data buses, such as the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and the Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C). Its versatility and scalability make it suitable for use in a variety of applications, including medical, industrial and automotive.
