Introduction
AD822AR-REEL is an instrumentation amplifier (IA) designed and manufactured by analog devices Inc. It is designed to function as a gain block or a buffer and to provide low distortion, high linearity and reliability in instrumentation, data acquisition and communications applications in a very compact package. This IC comes with a user selectable gain range of -0.5 to -10 and has a typical single supply operation from 3 V to 15 V. It has low input bias current, low noise and low power consumption compared to traditional amplifiers and can be used in wide range of applications from speed sensing to medical instrumentation.Working Principle
The AD822AR-REEL uses the traditional instrumentation amplifier configuration with two differential voltage inputs and one output. Instrumentation amplifiers use the difference between two input signals and amplify it to generate a single output. The AD822AR-REEL is designed with a differential amplifier front end and an output buffer to increase the voltage range and eliminate offset voltage and noise in the circuit. The differential amplifier front end consists of two amplifiers arranged in a feedback configuration to provide high common mode rejection. The output buffer amplifies the differential amplifier\'s output and changes the series combined output impedance to provide high common mode rejection.Application Fields
