ADP1879-0.3-EVALZ is a less than 60mV controller evaluation board with off-line switching mode power supply (SMPS) capability to support applications such as AC-DC and DC-DC adapter, offline lighting, and general consumer equipment applications. This board can support very low input voltage to very high voltage while maintaining excellent efficiency performance with low cost.The ADP1879-0.3-EVALZ evaluation board provides a low-cost, low-voltage, off-line SMPS that supports wide range of input and output voltage from 5V to 24V while controlling power up to 0.3W in continuous or pulse mode. It also supports up to 30V of input voltage and up to 55V of output voltage. It comes with a full protection suite including power limiting, overcurrent, over voltage, open loop, short circuit, soft start and brown-out protection. The board also provides over temperature protection.The ADP1879-0.3-EVALZ board is based on an integrated power stage, which enables the design of a small size and non-isolated Flyback topology. NTC thermistors are used to provide temperature sensing and protection while power limiting is provided by using a complementary MOSFET in the PWM control loop.
