.Evaluation and Demonstration Boards and Kits are an important tool for engineers and scientists to evaluate, develop and demonstrate their latest technologies. The ADP5091-2-EVALZ is an example of such a board and kit, designed for the evaluation, development, and demonstration of synchronous buck DC/DC converters. It is a complete development platform, allowing designers to quickly evaluate, modify, verify design and control algorithms, and generate prototype designs for a variety of applications.
The ADP5091-2-EVALZ board features an ADP5091 buck switching regulator IC, ideal for automotive, industrial, and/or communications applications requiring high-efficiency regulation and ripple rejection. The board includes a large-size inductor and a 0.47μF multilayer ceramic capacitor to support high-output currents and other components to support a wide range of output voltages. The board also features a user-programmable digital potentiometer that is adjustable using a voltage from +3V to +12V as well as a temperature compensation input that allows for more accurate regulation.
