1. DESCRIPTION

The ADS1110A0IDBVR is a precision, continuously self-calibratingAnalog-to-Digital (A/D) converter with differential inputs andup to 16 bits of resolution in a small SOT23-6 package. Theonboard 2.048V reference provides an input range of+2.048V differentially. The ADS1110A0IDBVR uses an 2C-compatibleserial interface and operates from a single power supplyranging from 2.7V to 5.5VThe ADS1110A0IDBVR can perform conversions at rates of 15, 30, 60.or 240 samples per second. The onboard programmablegain amplifier (PGA), which offers gains of up to 8, allowssmaller signals to be measured with high resolution. Insingle-conversion mode, the ADS1110A0IDBVR automatically powersdown after a conversion, greatly reducingcurrentconsumption during idle periods.The ADS1110A0IDBVR is designed for applications requiringhigh-resolution measurement, where space and powerconsumption are major considerations. Typical applicationsinclude portable instrumentation, industrial process control.and smart transmitters.
