The AFK226M63X16T-F aluminum electrolytic capacitor, part of the company\'s high temperature series series, is a cylinder aluminum electrolytic capacitor, an unique technology of using a combination of a thread inserting and a sealed closing mechanism with a spring, manufactured by a well-known capacitor manufacturer on the market.

The AFK226M63X16T-F aluminum electrolytic capacitor has very special features, making it ideal for use in circuits that require the highest stability, reliability and high temperature performance. It has a high temperature rating of 85 degrees Celsius, an operating temperature range between -40 and +85 degree Celsius and a resistance to temperature cycling of -10 to +85 degree Celsius.

The main application field of the AFK226M63X16T-F aluminum electrolytic capacitor is in high temperature and demanding environments, as well as the ultra-critical, sharp and directional high dynamic range applications, needed e.g. in electronic media and broadcasting, military, aerospace and scientific research systems.

This aluminum electrolytic capacitor also has a high ripple current and excellent thermal stability, is extremely robust and resistant against corrosion, has a low self-inductance, a low ESR and a very low dissipation factor.

The working principle of this aluminum electrolytic capacitor is that of an electrolyte-electrolyte device, in which two plates of aluminum are interconnected by means of an electrolyte, commonly a solution of tantalum or other salts.

The device is assembled into a cylindrical form and the two plates are separated by a dielectric, typically an alcohol-based gelatin or polyvinylchloride (PVC).

The aluminum plates act as electrodes and form an electric capacitance that can store a voltage. When an electric field is formed between them and is brought into contact with the electrolyte, the electrolyte and the plates are polarized and charge is stored in the capacitor.

The electrolyte also acts as a medium between the plates, providing a continuous conducting path for electrons which allows the electric field to be maintained. The electrolyte in the capacitor allows electric current to flow between the plates, which is the basis of operation.

The capacitor is connected to a circuit and the current is supplied from an external source via the wire to one of the plates, usually the negative one. The voltage is presented to the two plates, and an electrostatic field is formed between them. The electrolyte acts as a conductor, connecting the two plates and allowing the electrons to pass from one plate to the other.

In the capacitor, after electric current has been passed through it, the stored energy is released and the capacitor begins to discharge. The voltage diminishes until the electric field is no longer strong enough to cause electric current flow.
