Aluminum - Polymer Capacitors are electrical components that are electrically insulating, physically robust, and good linear conformance characteristics. They consist of two conductive electrodes surrounded by a dielectric layer that form a two-layer capacitor structure. The electrodes are typically constructed of Aluminum and the dielectric of polymers. Most polymers today are thermally stable materials that are able to withstand severe environmental conditions.The APXF4R0ARA391MF80G is one of the recent developments in Aluminum - Polymer Capacitor technology. Its components are manufactured from a 0.5 mm flexible polyethylene film that is highly resistant to heat, humidity and vibration. The polyethylene is filled with a H-Class uniform electrolyte that ensures an excellent linear dielectric strength over a wide range of temperatures. The capacitor is subsequently wrapped in a protective cable jacket which also helps to protect against stress cracking and other mechanical damage.The primary purpose of APXF4R0ARA391MF80G is to provide a high capacitance in a relatively small volume. This makes them ideal for applications in power electronics, such as power factor correction, energy storage systems and photovoltaic energy harvesting.In general, capacitors are used to store electric charge. When a voltage is applied to a capacitor, the electric field created attracts electrons to one of the two electrodes. This electric charge is then stored on the capacitor plates until the voltage is removed. When the electric field is removed, the electrons are allowed to move back to the other plate, which completes the circuit.The electric charge stored in the capacitor is determined by its capacitance, which is also referred to as the ‘capacitance value’. The capacitance is a measure of how much electric charge a capacitor can store for a given voltage.
