AT24C02AN-10SI-1.8-T Working Principle
The AT24C02AN-10SI-1.8-T working process can be mainly divided into three steps which are address setting, data writing, and data reading. Before the data write and read operations, it requires setting the right address. The address is a 7-bit data, when the W and R signals receive the address of the write, the EEPROM comparison between the set address and the address inside the chip. If matching, data writing and reading operations will be started.
During the writing process, the AT24C02AN-10SI-1.8-T works with the help of the internal micro-program which is preset in it. The write process consists of four steps: write protection, write enable, write data, and write finish. When sending commands or signals to write or read, the device can automatically enter and exit the status. Even when the power is off, the data stored in the device can still be maintained. During the writing process, a write-protect signal should be applied, otherwise the written data cannot be saved.
Data reading is read out, the working process is started when 9th and 10th bits are a logic-high followed by an 8-bit address. Once the address is set, the data is output successively. If a higher address than the highest address of the AT24C02AN-10SI-1.8-T is specified in the read mode, DATA pin will output "0xFF" in the cycle reading. During the data reading, the current remains the same, that is 0.5uA, and the device can enter the sleep mode automatically if the R/W signals remain inactive for specific period of time.
