Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors
Aluminium electrolytic capacitors are polarized capacitors using an aluminium oxide layer as the dielectric material with a typical capacitance value range of 0.00001 to 5,000 µF. It consists of an alumina (Al2O3) coated with an extremely thin insulator oxide, usually an anodic oxide, and is formed in an etchant or HF vapor.
