The BUF22821EVM-USB is a low-cost, USB-based evaluation and demonstration board that is designed to demonstrate the capabilities of Texas Instruments’ BUF22821 low-input-impedance coaxial-cable powered audio amplifier with line-driver configuration. The board can also be used to evaluate the capabilities of other TI low-input-impedance audio amplifiers with line-driver configuration.

The BUF22821EVM-USB consists of a base board with a pre-assembled BUF22821 amplifier daughterboard. All of the necessary components to operate the amplifier are integrated on the daughterboard — including the amplifier IC, filter capacitors, trimpots, LEDs, and bias circuits. USB connectors on the baseboard allow for power to be supplied to the device, while a two-pin header and BNC connector allow for connection to the external audio source. The BUF22821EVM-USB also features an audio output jack for connecting to an external speaker or other device.
