When an overload of current occurs, the contacts will be activated via an electromagnetic system, causing the fuse within the fuseholder to be disconnected from the circuit.

The CH221DMS utilizes an advanced system to detect and sense the overload as soon as it occurs, which is based on two main factors: I2t and K-Factor rating. The I2t rating is used to identify the amount of current that will cause the contact of the fuseholder to be activated, while the k-factor rating is used to determine the number of times the circuit can be reconnected after an overload has occurred.
