Working Principle

CYRF6936-40LFXC is based on a three-stage architecture. The first stage is the RF section which contains the integrated transmitter and transceiver and provides the simplified signal generation functionality for modulated RF messages. The middle stage is the digital baseband processor which contains an 8-bit internal processor for managing the data packet assembly and reception, as well as the digital filtering to implement the transmitted and received signal quality. Lastly, the analog baseband processor, consisting of the demodulator, modulation circuit and amplifier, provides the interface between the external world and the internal processor section.

The integrated transmitter has the following features: data rate up to 40 Kbps, an integrated voltage controlled oscillator with a frequency range of 2.400GHz to 2.480GHz, and a on-chip loop filter for frequency control. It has low error vector magnitude (EVM) of 10% and provides a steady output power levels up to -10dBm. The integrated receiver has an integrated frequency synthesizer with a frequency range from 2.4GHz to 2.480GHz, and it supports data rates up to 40 Kbps with high sensitivity and low EVM. Also, it has low bit error rate (BER) for good link quality.
