DSC400-0401Q0103KE2T: Pin Configurable/Selectable Oscillators

The DSC400-0401Q0103KE2T is a pin configurable/selectable oscillator engineered to offer exceptional frequency accuracy, extremely low phase jitter, and outstanding power supply rejection (PSR) capabilities over a wide frequency range. It is a complete oscillator comprising a Frequency Pull Range+/-50ppm, an oscillator frequency control pin, an enable pin, and a 0.1pF compensation capacitor for programming.

Application Field

The DSC400-0401Q0103KE2T is ideal for applications that require very high levels of frequency accuracy in the 1MHz to 100MHz range. Typically, it is used for system timing and timing distribution services, such as embedded clock management, clock synchronization, and system jitter attenuation. It is also designed to serve as a clock source for numerous computing, communications, consumer electronics, automotive, and industrial applications.

Working Principle

The device is an oscillator featuring a differential PECL enable pin and a frequency control pin. The enable pin, which is configured and connected in differential mode, allows the device to be activated and deactivated as needed. When enabled, the unit starts running and produces a free-running oscillation. The frequency of the oscillation is determined by the frequency control pin.
