This oscillator is manufactured by Knowles, and is ideal for high-performance applications with its power efficiency, ultra-low jitter and superb shock and vibration performance. With its state-of-the-art pin configurability/selectability feature, it allows customers to easily adjust the operating frequency and select optimal crystal tolerance to meet the needs of their application.

Application Field

The DSC400-4334Q0022KI2T is a highly versatile pin configurable/selectable oscillator designed to meet a variety of applications. It is especially suitable for use in applications that require high performance, such as network communication, microprocessors, computing systems, wireless communications, automotive and industrial control. The oscillator can also be used in other applications such as ultrasound imaging, medical equipment, and defense & aerospace.

Working Principle

The DSC400-4334Q0022KI2T uses an ElectroChemical Amplification (ECA) process for its frequency selection. The ECA process utilizes a conical resonator with a central electrode configured to provide an electrical field. When changed, this electrical field creates a standing wave on the surface of the resonator. By selecting the different standing waves, the frequency can be controlled by adjusting voltage across the pins of the oscillator. The ECA process is also used to select the optimal tolerance to meet the needs of the application.The oscillator also features an advanced design, which ensures extremely low jitter, excellent temperature stability and superb shock and vibration performance. The working frequency range of the oscillator is from 6.0000 to 249.0000 MHz and the allowable frequency tolerance range is ±400 PPM. With its low power consumption and small size, it is also ideal for portable or mobile applications.In addition, the DSC400-4334Q0022KI2T comes with an on-board monitoring feature which allows the user to monitor the oscillator performance in real time.
