Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are electronic components used to store energy in electrochemical form. The ECE-A1CKS101Q is a particular type of aluminum electrolytic capacitor from ECE Corp designed for high temperature applications.

ECE-A1CKS101Q capacitors are constructed with an anode composed of an aluminum foil and paper separator coil wound together, which are covered with a liquid electrolyte solution. This is contained in a metal sleeve called a housing. The cathode is composed of a thin layer of aluminum oxide which acts as an insulator. When an electric field is applied, positive ions from the electrolyte move to the anode and negative ions move to the cathode, forming a charge on the capacitor.
