Aluminum - Polymer Capacitors

Aluminum-Polymer Capacitors are a type of Electrolytic Capacitor with an anode formed of aluminum foil, a spacer sheet and a polymer as the medium to separate the two. Due to the absence of high dielectric losses in the oxide layer, they are capable of providing superior performance compared to conventional electrolytic capacitors.

The EEF-UE0G221ER is an Aluminum-Polymer Capacitor with an excellent tolerance to temperature and voltage extremes, making it ideal for a wide range of applications. It has a capacitance range of 0.22 - 4.7uF and a wide operating temperature range from -55 to +105ᵒC.

Application Field

The EEF-UE0G221ER is designed for use in DC and Pulse circuits as a timing or bypassing, filtering and buffering capacitor. Its low impedance design makes it suitable for high frequency, high ripple currents or super capacitive applications.

It has been UL approved, making it suitable for use in hazardous areas such as Medical, Aerospace and Military applications. It is also suitable for use in consumer electronics applications such as Portable Telephones, Portable Computers and Hand- Held Devices.

Working Principle

EEF-UE0G221ER uses a series of aluminum foil plates and a dielectric layer composed of a polymer film in between, resulting in layers that effectively store and emit electrical current. The design of the capacitor minimizes voltage or temperature drift, making it suitable for use in applications where no other conventional electrolytic capacitor can match its performance.
