Working principle of the EET-HC2W181CF
The working principle of EET-HC2W181CF aluminum electrolytic capacitor can be explained using its structure as shown in Figure 1. Figure 2 is an equivalent circuit of the device. The capacitor comprises an anode foil W, a cathode foil S and an electrolyte Y, which are all separated by aluminum oxide O.

When a voltage is applied between W and S, electrons will flow along the metal surface of W and the oxyhydrate surface surrounding the electrolyte Y to generate an electric field, which will induce a displacement current between W and S. This current , together with the current generated by Faraday\'s law, makes up the total circuit current. Since the electrolyte Y will electrolyze when voltage is applied, the W and S surfaces will be insulated by the newly generated Aluminum Oxide O which further increases the insulation resistance and polarizes quickly.
The equivalent circuit of Figure 2 shows that there are two layers of capacitance between W and S, which is the electric field capacitance; and the other is the electrolytic capacitance, which is generated by the electrolysis of the electrolyte Y. It should be noted that the electric field capacitance is lower and less sensitive to temperature than the electrolytic capacitance, so the voltage between W and S must not exceed the rated voltage specified by the manufacturer. otherwise, the oxide O will be destoried and the insulation resistance will decrease.
