Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors

Aluminum electrolytic capacitors are polarized electrolytic capacitors, which are passive components for use in electric circuits, designed to store a charge in an electric field between two conductive plates. The technology is based on the dry electrochemical version of the traditional electrolytic capacitor.

The structure of the aluminum electrolytic capacitor consists of two aluminium foils of different processes. The two foils are separated by a layer of insulating material known as the dielectric and an electrolyte with positive and negative charges is attached to the plates.
