Aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also referred to as Al electrolytic capacitors, are capacitors that use an anode created from a layer of aluminum oxide that acts as the dielectric for an electrolyted aluminum foil in order to increase the capacitance.The aluminum electrolytic capacitor is one of the most widespread capacitors currently used due to its wide application range, high capacitance and relatively low manufacturing cost. In particular, EEV-HA1C220R is one of the most effective aluminum electrolytic capacitors commercially available.

The working principle of the EEV-HA1C220R aluminum electrolytic capacitor is based on Faraday\'s law of electrolysis. The capacitor consists of an anode composed of an aluminum foil covered with a layer of aluminum oxide, a cathode composed of a spiral of aluminum strips, and an electrolyte made up of an aqueous solution of ethylene glycol and ammonium hydroxide. This capacitor requires up to five times higher DC voltage than an ordinary capacitors.
