The FQP44N10F is a N-channel mosfet transistor designed for use in high voltage, high current switching and amplification applications. Developed by Fairchild Semiconductor, the FQP44N10F is constructed using a “vertical DMOS” process that allows for efficient use of the flow of electrons while maintaining a high on-state current handling capability.

FQP44N10F have an average on-state current rating of 10 amps at 50V and a maximum voltage rating of 80V. It can be used in applications requiring high levels of current such as audio amplifiers, power supplies, motor controllers and switching applications. It also has a low on-resistance (also known as RDS(on)) of 9mΩ, which enables it to handle higher amount of current.

The FQP44N10F operates as an n-channel enhancement mode mosfet. It works by allowing electrons to flow through the N (negative gate) terminal, alongside a supporting base called a substrate. This continuous flow of electrons then creates a voltage between the drain and source terminals of the part, allowing current to flow from the drain terminal to the source terminal.
