The HMC8402 is an RF amplifier that offers excellent small signal gain and noise performance, allowing for high-dynamic range applications and quick time to market. The HMC8402 is usable in a very wide range of frequencies, covering a range between 50MHz to 6 GHz. Its high gain performance allows for applications such as cellular base stations, microwave links, high speed access points, and more. Additionally, the HMC8402 is able to support up to 2W output power, off of a single voltage power supply.

The HMC8402 is designed to provide high gain, excellent linearity, and low noise. It comes with on-chip bias circuitry, thermal stability, and high stability of power gain over temperature range. The amplifier also includes active bias circuitry that enables use in single supply applications with a bias current much lower than usual.

The amplifier utilizes a low noise MMIC technology to achieve highly linear small signal gain and noise figure performance.
