Clock/Timing - Clock Buffers, Drivers, ICS83056AGI-01 is a high-performance multi-function crystal oscillator (XO),16-pin lead-shrink encapsulated plastic (PLCC) package with wide operating temperature range and high stability frequency output. It is designed for applications such as data communications, test and measurement, and automotive applications.

The ICS83056AGI-01 oscillator is designed for a wide range of clock frequencies, from 1 using a crystal-based output, up to 900 MHz from a buffered output. Two outputs are provided: a low-jitter buffered crystal output with a frequency range of 1 to 1954 MHz, and an either high or low level selectable output with a frequency range of 1 to 1300 MHz. Output levels are selectable to allow the user to choose the optimal signal power level for their system. The high output level is 2.3Vp-p and the low output level is 1.0Vp-p.

The ICS83056AGI-01 has very low operating temperature range and is highly tolerant to temperature changes having in built 3rd order temperature compensation that ensures clock frequencies remain stable and within tolerance over the full range. This ensures predictable system performance and minimizes system downtime even in the most demanding applications.

The ICS83056AGI-01 also has low power consumption, thanks to the novel design and processes used. The crystal output version draws only 3mA, and the buffered version draws 7mA. This makes the oscillator ideal for low power and green applications.

The ICS83056AGI-01 features three selectable clock outputs that can be chosen to meet the specific needs of the user, for example the frequency range, power level, output voltage, input voltage and stability.
