The IM GF6-33150-5-V circuit breaker is a type of circuit breaker designed to protect electrical wiring in residential and commercial applications. This circuit breaker provides protection against overload and short-circuit conditions by automatically interrupting the electric current when an overload or short-circuit occurs.The IM GF6-33150-5-V circuit breaker is a single-pole type with an installed rating of 15A and voltage rating of 120V. It is UL-listed and is designed to comply with the UL 489 standard for residential and commercial conduit applications. The circuit breaker operates on an overload-trip principle that relies on a bimetallic strip mechanism. In this design, two different metals are bonded together and form a strip. As electric current flows through the strip, the two metals reach different temperatures, causing the strip to warp. This deformation of the strip generates a mechanical force that interrupts the electric current and trips the circuit breaker.The overload trip level of the IM GF6-33150-5-V circuit breaker can be adjusted manually by turning the built-in adjustment knob. The adjustment knob is usually located on the front of the circuit breaker and can be adjusted by turning it clockwise or counter-clockwise. The adjustment knob need only to be turned one or two times for proper operation. It should not be adjusted too much as this can cause the circuit breaker to trip prematurely.The IM GF6-33150-5-V circuit breaker features a reset button, which allows the circuit breaker to be reset manually after an overload or short-circuit condition has occurred. To reset the circuit breaker, the reset button must be pressed and held for several seconds until the circuit breaker has tripped. The circuit breaker features a ground fault protection device that is designed to sense and interrupt low-level ground faults in feeder circuits. The ground fault protection device operates on an inverse-time principle, which means that it increases the time duration of the trip to match the ground fault level. The ground fault protection device also has a manual reset button and must be manually reset after a ground fault condition has occurred.The IM GF6-33150-5-V circuit breaker is a UL-listed single-pole breaker with a 15A rating and a 120V rating. It is designed to provide protection against overload, short-circuit, and ground fault protection. The overload-trip mechanism operates on a bimetallic strip design that warps when current flows through it, causing the circuit breaker to trip. The ground fault protection device operates on an inverse-time principle and also has a manual reset button. The circuit breaker features a manual adjustment knob for adjusting the over-load trip level and a reset button for manually resetting the circuit breaker after an overload or short-circuit condition has occurred.
