IP1205S is a member of DC DC Converter, it\'s a step down converter with buck architecture. Because of its high efficiency, small size, low costs and tight regulation, it is widely used in cost sensitive portable applications, such as computer, communication, consumer electronics, industrial equipment and automotive devices.

The working principle of IP1205S is simple. It works by controlling the switching of the internal transistors. First, the input voltage is transferred to the internal inductor and stored in the form of energy. Then the internal drive transistors are toggled to get the inductor to release the energy at a lower output voltage wave. This conversion process is called a buck converter.

IP1205S is suitable for many applications. For example, it can generate an output voltage from 1.26 to 5.5V, with a maximum output current up to 200mA. The buck converter is also suitable for ultra-low-noise active-filter applications, providing clean DC voltage for power sensitive and noise sensitive loads, such as microcontrollers.
