Introduction
IRKT71/12A is a thyristor module, which is mainly used in the field of motor control and power control. It takes two / three-phase synchronous motor control system as an example to explain the principle and application field of this type of thyristor module.Working Principle
IRKT71/12A module works by controlling the thyristor’s on-off status in a cycle to realize the start, stop and speed adjustment of the motor. With the application of the direct power control technology, the voltage and current of the AC motor can be changed to control the speed and torque of the motor. On the input side of the module, there is a trigger circuit which consists of two triac trigger tubes, two resistor and a capacitor. The triggering voltage decides the triac’s on-off status. Depending on the voltage level passing through, the triac triggers the thyristor. Upon the action of the trigger source, the thyristor will start conduction and the voltage transfer to the output stage of the module, so that the motor will start running and the speed of the motor is modified.Additionally, IRKT71/12A module is also equipped with an overload protection system. If a voltage overadmissible is applied, the thyristor’s conduction time extends, which triggers the overcurrent protection circuit, thus cutting off the triac and thus protecting the normal working state of the motor.Applications
As IRKT71/12A is a high power thyristor module, it is widely used in various fields, such as industrial motor control, power adjustment and three phase AC controllers for micro-hydro power plants.In the industrial field, IRKT71/12A module can be used to implement two phase and three phase motor speed control, as well as single motor and motor group motor speed control.
