。The LAN8741AI-EN-TR integrated transceiver is an innovative device that bridges the aperture between local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). It features both high-speed digital signal processing (DSP) and low-power consumption to ensure efficient data transfer in various communications networks. The LAN8741AI-EN-TR is designed for Ethernet applications which require 10 Mbps and below transmission over twisted pair cabling. It is ideal for use in consumer appliances, industrial computers and multimedia applications.
The LAN8741AI-EN-TR utilizes an innovative design which allows communication between a microcontroller and a local area network. The primary components of a transceiver are the media access control (MAC) chip, the physical layer (PHY) chip and the core logic. The MAC chip serves as the interface between the internal components of the transceiver and the network, while the PHY chip converts signals between the two media. The core logic mediates between the two chips and the network to provide data transmission and error correction.
The LAN8741AI-EN-TR is equipped with a dual-channel parallel interface that enables simultaneous operation of four possible combinations of PHY and MAC interfaces. An integrated Power Management Unit (PMU) also improves power management and helps to reduce system power consumption. It supports various media access methods, including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transmissions. In addition, the LAN8741AI-EN-TR features support for Wake-on-LAN, advanced link down and link up features, policy-based traffic classing, and advanced flow control mechanisms.
The working principle of the LAN8741AI-EN-TR is based on Ethernet transceivers, which are a combination of both PHY and MAC chips.
