It then encodes that stream into a multi-level voltage differential format, which is transmitted through the twisted pair cable.The receiver side then takes the serial data received over the wire and decodes them into a digital format. This data is then deserialized into parallel form similar to the original data that were received at the transmitter side of the transceiver. Any necessary error-checking and correcting is done at this stage.The transceiver delivers its data functions over two twisted pair lines, a receive line pair and a transmit line pair. The device utilizes line drivers and receivers in each pair of lines. The transmit pair contains a line driver and receiver, with the line driver providing a pair of opposed differential signal of voltages that are connected to the twisted pair receiver. The receiver, with its circuit protection and signal-level translation provided by line drivers, receives the signal from the twisted pair and converts them into digital logic levels.Data Isolation and Signal Level
