MCP3901A0T-E/SS is a single-phase energy metering analog front-end (AFE) device which is designed to measure active energy consumption in a variety of applications including solar panels, smart grid pickups, and electrical and industrial automation. The device incorporates an accurate sigma-delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to convert the incoming current and voltage signals into digital data representing the energy measurement. In addition, the device includes on-chip temperature and power supply sensing features, two pulse output pins, on-chip nonvolatile memory, and programmable digital filters.
