The MIC2172YN is a single-phase DC/DC switching regulator capable of operating from 2.5 V to 32 V, making it ideal for powering high speed ASICs and processors. The board features a 2 A DC/DC integrated switch and a voltagefoldback system to protect against in-rush current. The remaining block is made up of two different regulator functions: one on-chip oscillator and one feedback loop. The input voltage is regulated to a specific output voltage via feedback voltage.
