The MIC6315-29D2UY-TR is a Reset and Power Supervisor IC with ultra-low quiescent current. It includes an easy-to-program reset controller and a low dropout voltage regulator. It also features a manual reset input, a reverse-blocking capability, and low quiescent current. The basic function of the device is to monitor the system’s power supply and generate an active-low reset signal. The reset signal is delivered via the RESET output. The reset controller has a programmable reset threshhold voltage and reset timeout period. It supports both internal delay and external reset.The power supply monitoring function is enabled by the internal comparator. When the voltage on the VS input drops below the predefined threshold voltage, the comparator triggers and produces an active-low reset output. The MIC 6315 series regulator offers high-efficiency, low quiescent current, and ultra-low dropout voltage. It is capable of supplying up to 200mA of output current and has a wide operating voltage range, from 2.4V to 5.5V. The manual reset input allows the user to trigger a reset from an external device, such as a switch or a timer.
