The MIC79050-4.2BM is a Battery Charger Pulse Modulation and Control device from Micrel Semiconductor, for charging Single Cell Lithium-Ion/Polymer batteries. A DC power input is used to charge a single-cell Li-Ion battery, capable of delivering up to 4.2A output current. The device is designed to pick up the correct charging voltage with up to 14V DC input. The MIC79050-4.2BM also features charge current counter measurement, temperature monitoring, and various protection features to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Working principle
