MMBTA06LT3G Application Field and Working Principle

Transistors - Bipolar (BJT) - Single is a type of solid state electronic devices which are made up of two or three doped semiconductor materials. This type of transistors are mainly used to regulate the flow of current or switch electrical signals between two nodes.MMBTA06LT3G is a part of Transistors - Bipolar (BJT) - Single product series. It is a NPN general purpose transistors, it also known as NPN digital transistors. It is mainly used in low power logic. Compared to other transistors in the same product series, MMBTA06LT3G is designed for lower power, lower voltage and lower current applications. MMBTA06LT3G has various application fields in various operating environment, such as linear amplification circuits, switch circuits, detection circuits, DC amplification and modulation circuits. Especially, it could be used in high frequency frequencies circuit, they can be used in analog circuits, digital circuits and in hybrid integrated circuits. MMBTA06LT3G has the following features include Max. Collector Emitter Voltage is 30V, Max. Collector Base Voltage is 35V and Max. Emitter Base Voltage is 5V; DC Current Gain is 400~3000; Power Dissipation is 450mW; Operating Temperature is between -55°C and +150°C and Storage Temperature is between -55°C and +150°C . MMBTA06LT3G working principle is based on the fact that when the basis has the dark current, electrons will be pushed into the collector repeatedly, and because of the negative resistance of the device which could maintain the needed current of the collector. Therefore, when the current of the base will be amplified in the collector and the collector current is larger than the base current. In order to control the frequency of oscillation and the stability of collector current, the MMBTA06LT3G had build in resistors and capacitors. The resistors will connected with the base and it could cut-off larger current at the input level of the base current. The capacitors will connected with the emitter, in this case, the charge of the capacitor is equal to the current of the emitter, thus it made the emitter current adjustment responding quicker, and the current will be stable and the frequency of the oscillator is also very stable. Along with all the great features, the MMBTA06LT3G also has many advantages such as good heating stability and reliable performance, low power consumption and high power gain, high input impedance and high output impedance. It also has a low threshold voltage and low collector-emitter saturation voltage, which makes them suitable for low voltage applications. In addition, it has a wide operating range, which can be used at a variety of operating temperatures and in various operating environments.
