TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diodes, or ESD (Electro-Static Discharge) suppressors, are broadly used in order to protect circuits from voltage spikes generated from external electrostatic charges, induction or lightning. The MSMCGLCE45AE3 is a high-defined TVS diode, particularly suitable for applications demanding increased ESD protection. Using a 15Vzener diode, it is designed to provide surge protection for particular automotive systems such as airbags, ABS, and back-up batteries. The device is also able to clamp a voltage spike with up to 45A surge currents.

The MSMCGLCE45AE3 is composed of a silicon chip and low profile surface-mounted package, and the particular construction maximizes the performance of the device and increases the durability and the quality of the system.
