MV7744 is a form of LED indication discrete that has been designed to provide both visual and audible indication to improve the accuracy of handling operations in virtually any automated system. This is achieved by the programmable indication of visual and audible alarms, group indication and group acknowledgement.

The LED indication are supplied in a range of designs, from single LED indications to multiple LED indications. Multiple LED indications allow for the simultaneous display of different messages and therefore the flexibility to provide an overall indication for wider range of operations.

The general principle of operation is that the device has a number of inputs which are connected to the processor. For example, the visual indication could be triggered when the processor finds an alarm condition, the audible indication could be triggered when the processor finds a warning condition, the group indication could be triggered when the processor groups together a series of alarms, and the group acknowledgement could be triggered when the processor validates a series of warnings.

The display of the device is a series of Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), each of which is capable of emitting either a red, amber or green light, depending on the state of the input. The intensity of the illuminated LED can also be programmed to provide further indication of system state.
