1. Description

The NEO-M8Q-0-10 series of concurrent GNSS modules are built on the high-performance u-blox M8 GNSS engine based on the industry-recognized NEO size. The NEO-M8 module can receive up to three GNSS systems at the same time, recognize multiple constellations at the same time, and provide excellent positioning accuracy in situations involving urban canyons or weak signals. In order to improve positioning better and faster, the NEO-M8 series supports enhancements of QZSS, GAGAN and IMES as well as WAAS, EGNOS and MSAS. The NEO-M8 series also supports message integrity protection, geofencing and fraud detection through configurable interface settings to easily adapt to customer applications. NEO‑M8M is optimized for cost-sensitive applications, while NEO-M8N and NEO-M8Q provide the best solution performance. The future-oriented NEO-M8N and NEO-M8J contain internal flash memory, which can be used for future firmware updates. This makes NEO-M8N and NEO-M8J very suitable for industrial and automotive applications. The I2C-compliant DDC interface provides connectivity and can work with most u-blox cellular modules. For RF optimization, NEO-M8J, NEO-M8N and NEO-M8Q have an additional front-end LNA (used to simplify antenna integration) and a front-end SAW filter (used to improve anti-interference ability). U-blox M8 module is used The GNSS chip AEC‑Q100 that meets the following standards is manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 certified site and has been fully tested at the system level. The qualification test is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the ISO16750 standard: "Road vehicles-Environmental conditions and testing of electrical and electronic equipment". u-blox NEO-M8 modules can also benefit from u-blox AssistNow assistance services. The online service provides GNNS broadcast parameters such as ephemeris, almanac plus time or rough location to reduce the time for the receiver to make major repairs first and increase the sensitivity of the collection. The validity period of AssistNow Offline data (up to 35 days) and AssistNow Autonomous data (up to 6 days) has been extended, allowing faster collection after a longer shutdown time
