The OP515D is a integrated optical phototransistor, widely used to detect visible light. It is a suitable for applications which require highly accurate responses to visible range light.

This means that the amount of current through the device is proportional to the amount of incident radiation; this is known as the device\'s photocurrent. The device\'s photocurrent is very accurate and can be used to measure the intensity of visible light accurately.
