This technique enables the detection of small range targets, such as skin lesions or hairs, without the need for illumination or active components.The module utilises an integrated photodiode array which consists of two arrays of infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) photosensors. These photosensors detect photons emitted by a target, such as light in the environment or an object in the form of illuminated UV or IR light. By comparing the times of flight of photons from two different points on the surface of the sensor, the distance of the target can be calculated. In addition, the angles of reflection of the photons can also be determined.
