TVS – Diodes offer a simplified approach to the protection of circuits from transients, which occur during power cycling, switch over voltage, electrical surges, and lightning. The P4KE series of bidirectional transient voltage suppressors (TVS) is a range of small low capacitance surge-protection devices, which provide excellent ESD protection for signal lines such as I/O, USB and data lines. The P4KE series is available in the following voltage classes: 400W, 600W, 800W, and 1000W. These components offer low reverse (stand-off) voltage and an excellent transient suppression performance in both peak pulse current and peak pulse power. The unidirectional and bidirectional devices are also designed to protect the input/output of sensitive components from ESD and surges and have a very low clamping voltage of 5.5V.
