P4SMA68C is a bi-directional symmetrical transient voltage suppressor diode (TVS) that is used to protect data lines and other electronic components from excessive voltage pulses. It has a very low clamping voltage which enables it to provide excellent protection against excessive electrical transients. P4SMA68C devices can be used in both commercial and automotive applications.The clamping voltage of P4SMA68C diodes is typically greater than 34V and the peak pulse power rating of these devices is up to 400W. The power derating of P4SMA68C devices is relatively low, with a rate of 10% after 2KV. The device also offers a wide range of temperature compensation options to ensure reliable operation in all operating environments. The working principle of P4SMA68C transistors is based on the principle of avalanche breakdown. When a voltage exceeding the clamping voltage is applied to the diode, an avalanche breakdown phenomenon occurs where a large amount of current is produced.
