Aluminum-Polymer Capacitors (also known as Al-Polymer Capacitors or Polymer-Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors) are electric-double-layer capacitors (EDLCs) with high capacity and ripple current capability. These capacitors are constructed with a thin, stable layer of conductive aluminum oxide sandwiched between two layers of wetted polymer (which acts as the electrolyte).
