Therefore, when the surroundings become too hot, the resistance on the thermistor will increase, limiting the current.

The resistor on the right side of the PTC Resettable Fuse works to protect the circuit from current that exceeds the manufacturer\'s specifications. This protection will kick in when the current reaches a range specified by the manufacturer, such as 10A-15A. When this level of current is detected, the resistance of the resistor will also increase, causing the voltage to drop and thus limiting the current.

Once the machine/appliance has cooled down or its current has dropped below the threshold, the PTC Resettable Fuse will reset itself and allow the current to resume. This feature provides an extra layer of safety as the machine/appliance won\'t have to be manually restarted.

In addition to its current protection, the RGEF800-1 also has the ability to detect temperature. If the temperature around the fuse exceeds a certain level, the thermistor\'s resistance will increase again, limiting the current and preventing any damage to the electronics.
