Introduction of SI9102DN02-E3SI9102DN02-E3 is a monolithic primary side synchronous rectification Buck Switching Regulator that uses the MOSFETs for the internal switch and external components for the control loop. It adjusts the buck converter to output a regulated voltage from 0.9V to 5V. The SI9102DN02-E3 buck switching regulator operates without need of an external driver and achieves the supply current up to 3A. It has an internal synchronization circuit that generates a high-frequency switching waveform in order to minimize external components. It has wide input voltage of 3V to 16V. Among adaptive features, the SI9102DN02-E3 can also be pin-configured for output current and temperature. SI9102DN02-E3 is ideal for applications such as computer/server power, industrial regulated voltage supplies, distributed power supplies and lighting regulation.Application Field of SI9102DN02-E3SI9102DN02-E3 is a continuous mode high performance mono-supply synchronous rectification DC/DC buck converter. It provides high efficiency and efficiency over wide load ranges. This switching regulator is mainly used in many applications such as computer/server power, industrial regulated voltage supplies, distributed power supplies, automotive power supplies, and lighting regulation. - The SI9102DN02-E3 is provided with a wide range of input supply voltages (3V to 16V).
- The input voltage is then passed through a filter to reduce the switching noise.
- The filtered input voltage is then applied to the input of the MOSFET switch.
- The switch is enabled according to the control signal received from the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controller, which is generated by an internal error amplifier.
- The error amplifier is continuously monitoring the output voltage.
- When the output voltage increases and exceeds the preset output voltage, the error amplifier disables the switch.
- At this stage, no current flows through the output and the output voltage starts to decrease.
- When the output voltage falls to below the preset output voltage, the switch is again enabled, allowing current to flow and increase the output voltage.
- This cycle is continuously repeated, and the switching frequency of the MOSFET switch is controlled by the output voltage feedback.
