The working principle of SR6P-M11G is that it uses a combination of digital control and mechanical switching action to switch signals into and out of the socket. The socket contains four switches for carrying the signals which are actuated by digital pulse signals. The digital control relays have two states namely, dry contact switching and wet contact switching. In the dry contact switching, the contacts of the switches either open or close when the desired pulse signal is sent. This is generally used for low power applications. In contrast, in the wet contact switching, the contacts of the switches open or close when the pulse signal is sent and the electrical arcs in the socket create a conduction path for carrying the signals. This is used for high power applications.
