The STEVAL-ISA195V1 is an Evaluation board designed for DC/DC & AC/DC (Off-Line) SMPS. It is a complete evaluation and prototyping board containing the components needed to test and evaluate innovative power supply solutions.

This evaluation board is equipped with the versatile and cost effective NCP1069 controller, which can operate as Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) and regulated SMPS in both buck or buck-boost converters. The controller includes a hardware supervisor to ensure safe operation. It is also ideal for the evaluation of electronic lighting LED drivers, such as street lights, and Electronic Transformer Drivers (ETDs) for the halogen lighting industry.

The board is designed to provide a user friendly test environment for the NCP1270 and its associated technologies. All the necessary components for the evaluation of the NCP1270A are included and mounted on the evaluation board. It supports a single output and allows the implementation of various power supply topologies, such as a flyback, buck and/or buck-boost.

The NCP1270A evaluation board features an automatically controlled startup sequence that enables the user to adjust the startup delay and to change the start-up parameters. It also supports an adjustable over-temperature protection feature. The board can be used with external resistors for output voltage adjustment.

The board includes three isolated inputs to evaluate the different operation modes of the NCP1270A. The board also includes two difference, programmable output voltage ranges and a wide range of LEDs that indicate the various operational states.

The STEVAL-ISA195V1 evaluation board is designed with the purpose of making the design phase of industrial and consumer electronic systems simpler and quicker.
