Tantalum - Polymer Capacitors: T55B156M020C0070 Application Field and Working PrincipleTantalum - Polymer Capacitors (also known as tantalum electrolytic capacitors) are a type of capacitor that use a tantalum pentoxide layer as their dielectric material. The use of such a dielectric material allows for larger capacitance-voltage product with less dielectric loss. Aside from providing the typical properties such as low ESR, long shelf life, low-temperature performance and good leakage current, Ta-polymer capacitors also offer quite unique performance characteristics.
