TB6615PG is a high-performance dual-channel motor driver integrated circuit (IC) with an embedded pulse-width modulation (PWM) motor speed controller. It is designed to accommodate two DC brush motors and offers an ideal solution for a wide variety of applications.
Application field
TB6615PG is a useful tool to power up a variety of applications. It can be used in robotics, automotive systems, sensorized systems, lighting systems, and more. Working principle
The TB6615PG consists of two independent single-channel motor drivers and a high-current PWM speed controller. Each of the two channels of the two independent single-channel motor drivers can drive one DC brush motor at up to 3A peak current. The PWM speed controller is used for controlling the speed of the DC brush motors. The speed of the engines can be controlled by adjusting the duty cycle (ratio of on time to total time) of the PWM pulses. The PWM speed controller has a frequency range from 1MHz to 2MHz and a resolution of 16-bit. This allows the user to control the speed of the motors with precision.
For added safety and protection, schematic, layout, and component guidance are provided to ensure a secure connection of all components. The TB6615PG also features several built-in short circuit protection, over current protection, thermal shut-down, and fault detection measures. It is further supported with a wide range of on-chip fault diagnostics, status register functions, and standalone operation.
