The Texas Instruments THS4500EVM is an evaluation board used to evaluate the company’s THS4500 high-performance current-feedback amplifier. This amplifier combines dual-channel current-feedback amplifier architecture, wide power supply range (±8 V to ±18 V), and wide output voltage swing (rail-to-rail) to deliver amplifier performance for a variety of applications.

The THS4500EVM board has two identical systems configured separately. These are both mounted with amplifiers (with gain set to 1 V/V) and one with an amplifier configured with gain set to 2 V/V. Each amplifier is configured with gain control (Gain/Attenuation and GR/AGR steps) and output impedance control (Tone, Layout and OPLG). Gain/Attenuation and GR/AGR steps are both adjustable for each amplifier\'s input, so that the gain can be adjusted independently.

The THS4500EVMs board is powered from an external user-supplied power supply (10 A, +15 V to +45 V) and can be powered with a range of 9 V to 18V (±15V to ±30V) input voltages. It is a highly versatile board that is designed for use in high frequency applications (up to 65 MHz), for high accuracy analog signal applications (gain-bandwidth up to 160 MHz), and for low distortion audio applications (S/N ratio of 64 dB).
