Working Principle

The TIP31G transistor is a bipolar junction transistor (BJT) with the PNP type. This means the base terminal is positively charged, and the collector and emitter terminals are negatively charged. When a small base current is applied, it causes the transistor to turn on allowing a larger current to flow through the collector-emitter terminals. This larger current can be used to control an external circuit or device.
