TLV3502AIDRG4 is a linear-Comparators, and it is designed to enable simple and cost-effective voltage-level sensing and comparison. It functions by continuously comparing two user-defined input voltage levels, producing an output when they differ by more than a threshold. The device takes a wide range of voltages, up to 5.0V and 3.3V, and provides fast response time and low current draw, with a quiescent current of only 4.0 µA.
TLV3502AIDRG4 features an internal transconductance amplifier designed with Voltage Comparator architecture. Output voltage is an indicator of voltage difference between two input voltages. Also, the output voltage state does not saturate when input voltages are different and there is no power consumption when the input voltages are balanced.
TLV3502AIDRG4 has several application fields includes voltage level sensing, level shifters, overvoltage detection, like 3.3 V battery-backup, early-warning for low and high-voltage reset circuits, etc. The device can be employed in a variety of industrial and consumer applications where low quiescent current and low detection voltage are essential.
The TLV3502AIDRG4 senses the voltage difference between two independent pins, VIN and GND, which enables the device to implement various configurations, such as detect rising/falling voltages, hysteresis, and fast overvoltage detection, among others.
In operation, the TLV3502AIDRG4 continuously monitors the input voltages, VIN, until these voltages differ by more than the User-Programmable Hysteresis Threshold (VTHH to VTHL). This produces an output voltage that switches between two User-Programmable Thresholds (VTHH to VTHL). Hysteresis provides fast response and reliable operation even when input voltages are noisy.
In addition, the TLV3502AIDRG4 offers high level of device integration and reliability. It is completely immune to external EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) through the use of EMI shielding, and the device includes four key user-programmable parameters, a user-programmable hysteresis (HYST), integrated Voltage Comparator (VCOMP), safety factor (SF), and open-drain output (OD). Also, the TLV3502AIDRG4 advanced wafer process technology allows multiple devices to be safely implemented in a wide range of applications.
