The TQ2-L2-6V is one such signal relay that has the capability to be applied to many applications with its versatility. The TQ2-L2-6V signal relay has two coils which are rated 0.2 and 0.8 Amps respectively, and an Isolation Class of 1400VACrms. There are two types of the TQ2-L2-6V signal relay - an -open type (which is open when the power is off), and a closed type (which is closed when power is off). The open type is used to switch current to a load at the instant the power is applied. The closed type is used to switch current to a load when power is removed, and then close the circuit when power is applied.

The working principle of TQ2-L2-6V signal relay is based on electromagnetic attractive force. The two coils of the relay create a magnetic field which attracts the movable armature to the contacts when voltage is applied. The attraction will be sufficient to open or close the two contacts depending on the voltage applied. In the case of the open type, power will be applied to the second coil and the armature will become attracted to the contacts. This will open the switch and current will flow in the load. In the closed type, power is applied to the first coil, and the armature is repelled from the contacts. This closes the switch and current will flow in the load.
